Course Description:
This course will equip educators, counselors and administrators with the knowledge to recognize different types of bullying, from teasing to more severe behaviors to digital abuse and cyber-bullying. Aspects covered consist of learning the signs that indicate your student is on the receiving end of aggressive behavior or being an aggressor him-or herself. You will learn how to prevent bullying by creating a caring home and school environment where kids feel safe and where differences are accepted. Educators will gain the tools to help their students feel empowered to stand up to bullies, whether they’re the target or witness to someone else being treated unfairly.
