This course will provide teachers with strategies and resources to understand different methods to engage their students and implementing those strategies within lessons for their classrooms. Teachers will be guided to improve teaching and learning through collaboration, instructional design as well as reflecting on their current practices.

At the completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

• Recognizing how diverse learners process information and develop skills, the teacher incorporates multiple approaches to learning that engage a range of learner preferences. InTASC 1, 2, 3 7, 8
• Engage learners in assessing their strengths and learning preferences and identifies various ways to promote each student’s growth. InTASC 1, 2, 3, 5, 6
• Manage the learning environment, organizing, allocating and coordinating resources (e.g., time, space, materials) to promote learner engagement and minimize loss of instructional time. InTASC 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8
