Course Description:
This course will provide strategies and tips for teachers to increase motivation and learning for students in the classroom. Teachers will examine brain-based learning and multiple intelligences to design instructional plans to motivate their students. Strategies for block schedules, improved student motivation and hundreds of teaching tips and student activities are presented for teacher implementation. Educators will also learn about developing instructionally supportive activities and strategies to improve motivational and instructional impact in classrooms.
Learning Outcomes/Competencies:
At the completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

- Research motivational theorists to compare and contrast. InTASC 1, 5, 6
- Read about various quick-tips for increasing motivation and learning. Educators will examine and apply the various ideas for possible applications into their teaching environment. InTASC 4, 5, 6, 7
- Recognize how motivation works in human behavior and how to get students to be intrinsically motivated. InTASC 1, 2, 3, 5
- Discuss the motivation tips as they relate to instructional content and teaching for classroom implementation and assessment. InTASC 1, 5, 10
- Construct assessments, testing, and grading to enhance learning. InTASC 1, 7, 8.
