Course Description:
Through a combination of theoretical understanding and practical application, participants will explore the multi-faceted nature of reading education, including phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. The course is designed for current and aspiring teachers who wish to deepen their knowledge and skills in teaching reading, with a focus on evidence-based practices, integrated reading strategies, assessment for learning, and creating engaging literate environments. Participants will engage in reflective practice, collaborative learning, and the development of practical tools and strategies that can be directly applied in their classrooms to support diverse learners.

At the completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
